Pulling the CRT out for the CD-i today makes me think I really need to do that more often. My supergun has s-video out... I really need to do Martial Masters/KoV2/The Gladiator on a CRT.

It's amazing how playing old video games on a CRT vastly improves my experience with them. My 20" RGB modded set is getting more use than my 55" 4K TV these days.
I'm personally not a CRT purist, and play my Saturn and X'eye/Genesis on my HDTV via an upscaler plenty. But the CRT is definitely nice to have around! It just looks nice, plus there's some stuff that doesn't play as nice with the upscaler. It's really great to have for games with rapid resolution switches, and weird resolution stuff like my PGM games looks a little more natural on it.
For sure, games look amazing on my RetroTink5x and I think it's way more convenient for most people than maintaining decades old tech. But the experience of playing old games on a CRT is personally very fulfilling, I can't really explain it but sitting on a beanbag to play some old games on my CRT just makes me happy.
