I love having a good optometrist. After the checkup I had an appointment with the usual frame stylist/seller I like, and he made a point of telling me that I shouldn’t buy anything today because the rep for a particular designer had been by and he knew they’d have frames I’d like in a few months. Nice to feel like I’m not being pressured into just buying something.

Genuinely the hardest part of going to the optometrist is saying no to the hard sells. I love everything else about it honestly.
