Here’s some of my favourite locals. In order of appearance: sulfur crested cockatoo, willy wagtail, gang gang cockatoo, superb fairy-wren, magpie, black cockatoo, red wattlebird, tawny frogmouth, musk duck, laughing kookaburra, black swan and eastern spinebill. 🪶

I love williewags! There’s some who always hang out on the power lines going to my wife’s parents’ house. They’re so cute.
when i lived in australia, we had a gaggle of cockatoos and kookaburras living in our backyard and it was the most delightful possible thing

Extremely good birds, I'd also like to shout out Rainbow Lorikeets and Blue-Faced Honeyeaters as extremely good birds.
These are fun!
But now I have "Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree" stuck in my head
(There was a nicer version of this-- one without the Goofy voice-- yet with the same energy on a cassette in the '80s but I can't find it on YouTube.)
