Skeb just sent out an email to everyone explaining what to do if your twitter account gets banned, and even how to open a second account. It sounds like things are getting... bad out there?

honestly a tonn of people constantly conflate "uses social media/the internet in a different way from me" with "bot behavior"

all the time you'll see lists of archetypal bot behavior that's really just actually describing old people, and conversely you'll also often see boomers normies calling terminally online millennials bots for absolutely confounding reasons.

I have no idea what it's like these days, but at its peak it was like if you combined MySpace and the non-chat parts of LINE. It was, how to put it, Not Very Good lol, and once iPhones hit Japan everyone jumped ship to Twitter for being way simpler.

This sucks for a lot of people and I hate that it's all going down this way.

But for skeb specifically, fuck them for basing their entire site on a twitter login to begin with. As someone that would love to use skeb on the reg and hated twitter before all of this went down, this is a good side effect at. Assuming it doesn't end up pushing a ton of people off of skeb.
