poor George just couldn't keep up after doling out Hastes to everybody, please pay respects to George.
... i actually really enjoyed it. i was expecting to drop this after the initial curiosity wore off but, no. FFI has a good pace, simple yet fun combat and a decent little world to run around in. the remastered look and music (especially the music good lord) definitely helped.
i might keep looking through these pixel remasters.
after conducting the infallible Matoya's Cave test, i've determined that the PR version is just behind the GBA version. that's really high praise! nothing beats the GBA version

final fantasy 1 has what looks to be five different Insta-Kill spells. they're supposed to be highly whiffable for balancing but the enemies don't have that issue lemme tell ya! LEMME TELL YA!
