friend to all who find me as a random encounter
the story isn't doing alot for me but im infatuated with death stranding's passive, MUD-like community mechanics. the game introduced roads to me and i saw one needed building, so i went "fuck it, that road is my goal now." i spent ages driving around settlements getting resources, pumped them all in and finally, it was done.
i log in today and im met with a barrage of messages from players using it. for the first time.
that is not something ive seen before. not in my usual games.
death stranding has already punished my confidence. i tried taking my new bike up and over a mountain. don't do that. ive never held my controller so tightly before.
