it's the sequel to Frogun! super charming platformer centered around a grapple-frog hook that hearkens back to PS1 classics like Crash and Croc. encore looks to be all that and more, co-op even.

highly recommended! both are going for under $30 USD combined which is worth every cent.

with a select few mods and INI tweaks of course. nothing in terms of texture overhauls, i believe this is only a weather and tiling change.

it's funny how Oblivion's aged in my eyes. the european fantasy setting is comparatively cliche to most other RPGs before and since, yet with time, it's grown on me. i think years and years of subversion has made this back-to-basics approach more charming.

despite that, it's still the ES i have the most problems with fundamentally. Morrowind had the better writing, Skyrim has the better combat. Oblivion's horrific level-scaling breaks any roleplaying whatsoever and forces you to metagame several systems to stay on par.

but man, i could wander the forests all day.
