god you really forget what internet speeds were like 15 years ago. my PS3 is downloading a game at about 300kbs a second on wireless. even worse, it shut off automatically overnight so i get to do it again. PC has absolutely spoiled me.

and to top it off, it's ratchet full frontal assault. im not sure its gonna be worth the wait sldkfj.

Shadow Of War is a fucking huge game. i know it is because i spent the first three hours orc-killing across a map, barely doing any side-stuff, only to learn it's the first of FIVE. FIVE TIMES THE SIZE OF THE FIRST GAME. WHAT THE FUCK HAVE THEY FILLED IT WITH.

look i love going ham on orc captains but there'd better be some good fucking reasons to keep me going with, idk, My Country in videogame landmass.

its funny too. Shadow Of War got rid of its microtransactions but you can absolutely see the remains strewn everywhere. different gem boosts for weapons, a vague currency spent on nearly everything. its only a good thing they got rid of that garbage and i haven't felt the lack of those mechanics too much but still, there's some pretty obvious context missing.
