The loop passes through each bold-outlined region in the grid exactly once. Each region contains a number of sun and moon icons. When it goes through a region, the loop must either pass through every sun icon and no moon icons, or every moon icon and no sun icons. Which kind of icon the loop must pass through changes whenever it enters a new region (e.g. if the loop has passed through every sun icon in a region, in the next region it must pass through every moon icon, and vice versa).
Got absolutely twisted on probably-Covid last week and set a bunch of puzzles. I'm looking at them with a clearer head, and I'm too proud of this one to keep it to myself. I think it's a little tricky and I hope it's not broken.
The rules of Moon or Sun are a little hard to describe, but if you go to that puzz.link link and click on Help > Rules in the dropdown menu, there's an example puzzle there that makes it clearer. I like this puzzle type a lot and I'd like to set more of it.
