this doll was made many years ago. reflective of her era,
she has translucent, glittery plastic in spots,
her circuit boards visible underneath.
her clothes are swoopy, shapey,
ostentatious, futuristic,
sparkly periwinkle,
metallic silver.
(needs AA's.)
and her skin,
well, her skin...
it was once soft,
smooth to the touch,
plastic on more plastic,
but after so many years,
like so many toys of her time,
her once-velvety skin began melting,
eating through the lovely plastic below.
she looks in the mirror, and can't deny it:
with every day she takes another step into fate.
planned (or careless) obsolescence, changing her to slime girl.
