First, I am grouchy about how, unless it is an article about a certain Argentinean superstar and his new team, there has been no reporting on any American teams at major outlets for, like, a month. I don't really care about yet another new tournament with MLS and Liga MX teams, either, especially because it feels like yet another interruption to the league. I guess it's good that LAFC players are getting a break after an absurd schedule at the start of the season that seems to have broken the team a bit.
Second, I am grouchy that, despite paying for a Peacock subscription, those jerks have an inexplicable way of blacking out random Premier League games. Why don't they show every game live? Why do replays (including for games that they do not air live) take 24 hours to go up? Why are there be blackouts for games that are a continent away from me? It's not like I'm gonna go over to the stadium. Blackouts are for chumps, anyway. It's like a reminder to ask myself, "hey, why am I paying for this? Am I paying to randomly not watch soccer? I could be not watching soccer by playing whack-a-mole with streams going up and down without paying for the trouble."
At least the World Cup has been serving good sports stories, even if I would have also been up for an American threepeat. Any World Cup with a new winner is a good one. I'm not watching games at 2am local, tho.
