Tetanus (thanks Da Spadger for the title) is a vanilla compatible episode for Doom 2, centered around clean, easily readable level design, with visuals inspired by "orange-box" designs from various source engine games, as well as Super Mario Odyssey's "Steam Gardens." Tetanus also features an almost entirely bespoke soundtrack with midis by AD_79, and ZeMystic, among others. Mouselook, jumping, and crouching should be disabled if you're playing on a port with those features. If you are playing on Chocolate Doom, you can load the DeHacked normally, or use the "-dehlump" command to load it directly from inside the WAD. A full map list and more can be found in the readme.
Tetanus is a 10-map set of vanilla compatible levels that I can personally attest to being absolutely fantastic. Each map is brimming with personality, color, playful and subversive layout ideas, wonderful texture work that feels consistent across the entire set. This is a true work of love by all involved.
The so-called Squonker Team is, in my mind, the current premiere level design squad in the contemporary Doom community. They're all up and coming, boundlessly creative, and filled with an energy for building fun, tough as nails, sometimes chill, dazzling levels that are well worth everyone's time to play.
As always, if you enjoy this, give em more love on Doomworld and beyond, and checkout some of their other projects as well, listed at the bottom of their post. You won't be disappointed by their efforts.
