go to watch the ceotaku dnf duel top 8 on tampa never sleeps youtube and the first comment which youtube believes must be on display at all times is “nice to see all 8 dnf duel players coming together to have a tournament”
these dudes run around talking shit like it’s normal to go to a tournament vod for a game and say “lol nobody plays this game” and then get all defensive when people start calling them out for it
“actually, I play [insert other games with small playerbases] and I make jokes about it all the time” that doesn’t make you smart or funny or above it all, it makes you a gigantic fucking cornball
It makes me genuinely sad how it seems like every major fighting game release cycle brings with it a scapegoat game like this. Last one in recent memory was BBTag, sure it had autocombos or whatever but it wasn't this horrible, unenjoyable game. I don't even know what people hated about it besides the autocombos, which seems like a non-issue lol
