also:

This time i tried to make it thicker (more pulp to water than last time) and also dabble with internal sizing... I think the sizing worked (paper is stronger) but I'm a bit lost about what to do with all that paper now.

I can't exactly use it for writing since I don't have that many friends to write to, and it isn't quality enough so that I could use it for drawing 🙃 in trying to recycle I just made more stuff to hoard it seems

so it's been a diy i wanted to do for a long time but always put off bc space, time, etc. but i finally did it!! it's not as daunting as i thought it would be. I made the
frame/deckle this morning by using chicken wire and frames i got from the dollar store. It's small-ish but perfect size for what I want to do eventually (paper cards)

so the actual paper making process was a bit messy (mostly because i had water splashing around a bit) but pretty straight forward. i feel like my set up was ok (sheets directly set up so i could make two paper sheets at once to hang dry was a huge help lol)

now it's drying!! so results tomorrow-ish i think??

I'm decently pleased with myself!! i learned the process and iterating will be way easier in the future so there's that
The paper itself is interesting, you can definitely see the mosquito net texture on the back and i wonder if there's a way to lessen that (through a quick research, yes but idk if i could do it confidently) and I did some tests with different pens and inks to figure out how to use it.

I dream of making paper that works well with watercolors to bind my own little sketchbook... dream of it with me...
