oh no I didn't expect to get flirted with-

It's!!! SO cool that you made up your own food dishes! I always wanna give that a shot but I barely know normal cuisine as is lmao. legendary lasagna in my favorite shape... I wanna try it

The key to knowing cuisine is watching a metric fuck ton of youtube videos that talk about food. It doesn't matter if you never cook any of the recipes you find if you're just doing research

Thank you! I don't actually know very much about food either, I'm just making stuff up and/or putting weird twists on existing foods. For all I know this stuff would taste horrible or be a nightmare of textures lol. With fictional cuisine you can get pretty far by just winging it

The zehu koko doshu was loosely based off of an italian dish called timballo, you should be able to find a bunch of different recipes for that if you want to try something close to it.

Khaiga I just completely made up but it seems like it would be pretty straightforward to try and make for real, you could try just scrambling some eggs as if you were going to make an omelet, cut the omelet into squares, layer the squares with some white rice, throw on like a red pepper paprika hollandaise sauce or something, then top with a piece of grilled mackerel and maybe some chopped parsley or green onions or something. Or maybe it would work better like some kind of casserole that you cut into squares afterwards to help it hold its shape better? No promises on if it would actually taste good though lol

I was familiar with timballo. That's what got me curious about that one. I'd probably never attempt the star shape without scaling it way down.

For the Khaiga I was thinking somethin' like tamagoyaki with sushi rice and a miso sauce poured over it.

Oh, the Zehu koko Doshu reminds me of il timpano, though il timpano uses regular pasta as the outer shell. If you're curious I can track down the Binging with Babish episode that made me aware of il timpano.

Zehu koko Doshu. Infamously difficult to prepare. Infamously difficulter to digest.

I really enjoyed reading these. Caelle's serious side profile while talking about her attempts made me laugh.

I think these might be some of the most serious expressions I've ever given her, and having her talking about food while making such dramatic faces just felt right

(And also yeah I think if I ate a slice of that thing that was as big as the one pictured I would have to take a 48 hour nap afterwards)
