Sonic the Hedgehog has a lot of silly lore stuff but I do quite like that one of the things that generally seems to get a strong reaction from people when I tell them it is that Sonic is canonically a hobo

Nah in the official games continuity (as explained by TailsTube, the official sega lore video series) he doesn't actually have his own house, he just couchsurfs a lot, stays at friends' houses, or sleeps wherever he feels like outdoors and just travels constantly.
That's the dream tbh? Gotta go fast! Cannot be weighed down by material possessions!
