Hey Cohost! I have the opportunity to get HRT finally but I don't have he finances to start.

The Context

I'm a trans woman living on the nightmare isle that is the UK. Getting HRT on the national health service takes so long that some people (myself included) can wait years and numerous politicians want to make this even harder. Right now. I would have to go through a Gender Identity Clinic for free HRT. There's only one of these in the entire country that offers free care of any kind. GICs are full of people who will question your transition at every step. I've even heard stories of them bullying people to try to convince them they aren't trans.

The Solution

I found out about GenderGP recently. A private healthcare service which talks to your doctor and helps them manage your care. They can arrange blood tests, sort out dosage calculations and even help your doctor go on training courses the better handle your care. I also get to bypass a Gender Identity Clinic, which is just magical.

The Catch

GenderGP isn't free and while I can easily handle the monthly payments, the startup cost is unfeasible for me.

This is where you come in

I need £320 (adjusted because I need blood tests done as well as a health check for my heart before they can give me a prescription).

boosted, good luck with your transition!! also its worth knowing that while gendergp do aim to work with gps and doctors, you should check if yours actually does work with gendergp. a fair few will unfortunately outright refuse to help if gendergp is involved.
