3 funerals down and now a CATastophe.
If you have anything burning a hole in your pocket, consider buying something my my and my partner's shop. We're about to be $2000 in debt because we were taken advantage of by a place that proceeded to put all of our cats in danger.
It's a long story, I'm keeping details sparse until this is or isn't resolved. I don't know if this will end in just my filing a complaint to the IRS or litigation. I have made one formal complaint to one of -this place's- hosts. I'm furious though!
But onto a cool thing. I like to be positive and things suck all over, and while this is scary and sucky for us, we'll muddle on somehow, I know it, even by the skin of our teeth.
Cool thing and why I'm posting this particular pin as my shop example of the day is:
The first pupfish count of the year yielded the highest count in 25 years. 191 individuals. This might sound small, but you have to understand, the population in the early to mid 90's hovered in the 200s, and in 2013 there were only 35. Just 35 individuals.
Last year we also had a high count so it's an upward trend. very exciting stuff for one of the rarest animals on Earth.
This pin is fatty at 3 inches, has way too many details, and is done completely in transparent inks, and to keep it extra fancy, it has an epoxy dome. but I have lots of more affordable stuff, but if you wanna splurge, I got the pupfish.
The others are a delta smelt, possible the most controversial creature in California, and the recently released back into the wild after being declared extinct, golden skiffia.
