It's a radically soft, short game about four partners travelling to stop a deadly natural threat. Cook, cuddle, flirt and encourage each other to overcome the miasma, and explore both the lands, and each other's feelings on the way.

As an beginner at game development I wanted to challenge myself to make something competely my own, an uncompromising look into where I've been at in my life recently, and something of my own visual and sonic style, and embrace the imperfections that come from it. I wanted to make a really small, 5-minute long thing as a newbie game dev, but as I fleshed out these characters I enjoyed them too much to have their adventure end prematurely and I really enjoyed how creatively fulfilling it ended up being.

It's probably about 60-70 minutes long, is mechanically light with no reliance on reaction speeds or precise/multi-button inputs, with a focus on area exporation and the characters' relationships.

All money earned from this game will go to fundraising Dandelion, a Bristol (UK) based harm reduction information centre and needle exchange for trans+ people self-medicating their HRT. Thank you so much!

aah nice! I mentioned this way back before I even properly started but Yurivania was what made me realise I can just make an unapologetically joyful and queer lil story that was completely my own. so thank you 💚

hey this was great! i thought the little mildly-interactive cutscenes as rewards for exploring was a really cute way to drive the game forward. the characters were all very sweet and sincere and that's really rare these days.

i think if you keep making games where the main gameplay thing is to explore and find things, it'd be super cool to have the map be given out in bits and pieces as another type of reward? one of the big rewarding feelings about this type of game is coming to an understanding of these big open spaces and getting bits of map earlier could be a fun way to lock that in. :3

also, there's a cliffside tile without collision, a couple tiles south of friend, in the semi-final area. but don't fix it cause i liked the shortcut ;3

can't wait to see what's next for you!!

Yay thanks so much for playing it! It's been great to hear from people who've gelled with this lil thing. Appreciate the feedback too, for sure if I revisited this world or just this style again I'd want to pace it in a way that makes the player appreciate the game world's layout, though there's an element of wanting to let the player build the map up in their head and build up their confidence in it, too. a balancing act for sure!

since you were so nice about it I may leave that wall bug intact :eggbug-devious:

Hoptix looks rad by the way, I've been enjoying your gifs and videos of it for the past while, good luck with development <3
