Took myself to ArcTanGent festival yesterday after years of not going even though the setlist is a) extremely my shit, and b) actually local to me. But I went to outdoor festivals when I was younger and even though there's lots of music to enjoy, the sensory experience, the grubbiness, the non-stopness, the everythingliness was just so much that the only festivals I've been to since have been indoor ones like Roadburn.

But I had a chance to go for a single day on Saturday and it ruled! Old favourites Bossk and Mogwai and it was my first time seeing Electric Wizard since a gig pal of mine joined the band. Along with a raft of other cool stuff. Slift was just the perfect high-energy, feel good heavy psyche that I needed.

But it was, again, so much. I spent all of yesterday a dopamine-drained puddle, completely unable to function or move or converse. idk how people manage to do this for 4 days while camping (but I'm happy for them). I think I'm kinda mostly pretty much back to normal now!
