Another chance to worship at the altar of the beautiful ripples of crushingly resonant air.
The tour 初心, "original intent," was no lie - like with much of their most recent recorded output, this one was back to basics. No extra vocalists or other musicians, no winding, brooding ambient passages to break up the pulverising wall of sonic doom. Just 90 minutes (...or something) of A Sunn O))) Riff. Surrounded and compressed by myriad deafening mathematical forms of drones and lights is where I feel truly home and in my element.
