I caught up on some 6.1 MSQ last night on Luna because I'm trying to re-unlock Expert roulette, now that tomes are super important again. I forgot about a very good set piece with Y'shtola in a certain library and the urge to gpose stopped me dead in my tracks, wiping out the time I saved by skipping cutscenes earlier
The whole scene is supposed to last maybe 10 minutes, but the music team spiced up the BGM with a piano remix of a Heavensward dungeon. It's a really nice surprise, especially because it's a lore-appropriate decision, so you get that first hit of "oh what is this? it's great" and then the motifs come in and there's the second realization like "ohhhhhh LET'S GO."
Lighting was a bit of a challenge in the room, but I like how it came out! I tried to use a lot of soft yellows around the area to give it an aged feeling. Unfortunately the /read book didn't respond to any lighting except for the overall brightness slider, but turning that one up flooded the room and ruined the vibe, so I settled for leaving it in the dark.
I think the lights on the left side of Luna's face are maybe a bit strong, but I can't remember now if that's my fault or the area's fault. This is the second time where I've wanted to compare before/after shots so I think I'm going to occasionally do photo/GIF documentation of some of the process, just for my own satisfaction at least. π
