Stella (reclear night)
Fun night with the static 🙂 We completed P5-P7S all in the same night which is always a win in my book. Don't look at the *actual* books though, because most of the clears were comedically haphazard and filled with L's. I did manage a new PB on Agdistis though, which feels nice. I've made some good optimizations to segments of the fight but I'd also say that it's a direct result of actually having MP at the end of the fight, thanks to my previous gearing choices. So, yay
I also won the augmentation item for the Lunar Envoy's weapons from P7S by default, so I slapped a coat of paint on them (first pic up top). This is Metallic Gold, as is preference lately. I'm a big fan of the moon designs. They're most obvious on the sides but I believe the top two wings have moons also, just oriented at different angles.
My partner dropped out of the static last Wednesday. They raided consistently for a long time (since Stormblood!) and we had talked a lot about the burnout they were putting up with -- even going back to some of their last statics -- so it wasn't a surprise at all. I was briefly sad about it, but now I can feel their relief at watching from the sidelines every time raid night rolls around, so it's hard not to be happy. Even better, the replacement they found is a guy named Garden Gnome and he looks like this:
So, we have two more raid nights for a Week 5 clear. We were making pretty good progress past the halfway point of P8S's first encounter, but there's still a second fight after that, so... can we do it? I'm hopeful! I need to really study up before Saturday though, because I just lost the one person I relied on for super good notes lmao 😖😖😖
Luna (island sanctuary, dumb garbage)
I've been doing so much Island Sanctuary oh my god you guys. I keep telling myself that I'll do a post about it, but whenever I log on I just end up gardening and caring for the animals and I'm very much in love with all of it 😭😭 I'll definitely post when I get the bike (my first big goal) but I'll try to take some development shots also! For now here's a couple of shots from the hideaway cabin. I don't enjoy when it rains out in the field but it's a really nice vibe when you're back in the living area.
While I was gathering some materials after raid, a member of Luna's FC started talking about Cancer, the giant crab FATE just outside of Costa del Sol. I find that guy really endearing -- like, it's just a giant crab with a bunch of HP and the BGM goes hard, what's not to love.
As soon as the sprout said "oh this guy has a lot of HP," I switched to Dark Knight and teleported down there. Within a few minutes of battle, we had five of us in a party wailing on this guy who has Just Fucking Nothing in terms of mechanics. I wasn't bored. I was driven by bloodlust and a hunger for crab meat. I was going to get this sprout his boss kill achievement. Aaaaaaaaaaandd......... time expired. FATE failed. The fight normally has 30 minutes (more than enough) but we all got there very late on a whim. Womp. At least the sunset was nice. (second pic)
