A raid friend convinced me to start leveling black mage on Luna while they leveled warrior. I hit level 50 last night and finished up the quests for the job armor today 
I think it works really well with the eye, so lucky break there. I have a level 90 black mage on Stella and I enjoy the job a lot at max level, but this second time leveling is really helping me with the lower level rotation, which will at least help with the endless LotA runs in my future.
The chocobo's name is Titan. I had him out while doing FATEs earlier and realized that he had a bunch of unspent skill points, so I tuned him to be a healer/tank type to cover while I throw AoEs at things. When I first got him, I threw the Limsa barding on him because the red complemented Luna's eye. I'm a simple enough person that if a video game gives me a bird to level up, I will be endeared by it.
