Totally agree, I used to have super fancy desktops when I was younger but now I just want something that's easy on the eyes when I'm working late at night, so I just go for warm, blurry ASMR visuals. I also highly recommend f.lux for night owls, it gradually makes the colors on your monitor warmer based on the time of day.

your FVWM setup is so sick it inspired me to try it out in a testbed VM, and i hit "out of my depth" with speed sufficient for overnight shipping to neptune
