i saw a chost about playing rhythm games and it reminded me that i could be at Round 1, playing rhythm games. i used to be hella into DDR (and its knockoff-but-much-more-moddable sibling, In The Groove) but, frankly, that's too much work now.
thankfully the R1 staff are great about maintaining the various other cabinets, including this Beatmania IIDX Lightning cabinet with headphone jack 😌🙏 this place opened up a few months before covid and i went hard on iidx in that time, but I've played probably less than ten times since 2020.
I'm gonna try to fix that tonight!!! but I'm keeping the expectations small and mainly playing to have fun. there have been two releases since i was way into it, so there's a lot of good new music to listen to ☺️☺️
