Despite having no shelf space, I realized a simple overriding fact: I want Gundams. I decided to check out Otaku Nation, a local store whose website appears to be fairly out of date since their location has changed from the address printed there, but the actual storefront was extremely well-stocked and had a lot of surprising merchandise!!1
I picked up Gundam Aerial and Beguir-Beu but the Gunpla selection was very good: a couple MG kits, a lot of different boxes along the bottom of a wall, and so so so many different weapon accessories and stands. I kept walking around and discovered that Otaku Nation also gave up retail space for local artists to sell their work, and I happened to see this Jupiter print by @antoniaandros and I just knew I had to pick it up!!!
Suffice to say, I'm glad I went!! I was a little hesitant because the name felt silly so I wasn't sure about how the environment would be, but it was actually really chill and they had a bumper sticker that said "the only blue life that matters is miku" so I feel pretty good about those dudes! Now I just gotta figure out how I'm going to handle all these mechs 😬
