Sooooooo I've been playing FFXIV for like 4 or 5 years at this point? Time flies when you're in a never-ending pandemic I guess! I created Stella Ar'tois near the end of Stormblood and then, as one does, I got emotionally attached to her after 100 hours of JRPG storyline, especially after Shadowbringers. Whoops. You ever get attached to a character you named after a beer? Awkward.
The game is fun though!! It's amazing and I've met a lot of cool people through it. The raiding scene is cool as hell. I played Monk for my first Extremes (Suzaku my beloved) and Savage raids (started in Eden's Gate but didn't complete a tier until Verse), grew into playing White Mage and Astrologian for raids (RIP Nocturnal Sect), but ever since Endwalker I've been a Sage main and really learning the joys of mitigation planning as a shield healer. It rules, especially at the Ultimate level.
On the topic of Ultimates, in the time between joining cohost and getting activated I became a Perfect Legend! That was 2-3 nights a week for four months and felt so satisfying to complete. I changed Stella's name to celebrate; I'm telling myself it's her middle name, and also it looks cooler and cuts down the beer jokes from randos by 99%. Win-win.

I'm part of another static that is trying to complete The Dragonsong's Reprise (Ultimate) and dear god it is brutal. That's currently 3 nights a week (Mon/Wed/Sat) and my partner who's also in the static usually streams the attempts. We're nowhere close to the end but it's still a lot of fun and every bit of progress feels very earned since everyone needs to know what they're doing. Sometimes I say useful things but my more common contribution is making terrified noises when a wipe unexpectedly happens. Twitch viewers also get the benefit of seeing Niko! Lucky viewers.
I'm playing on Primal, feel free to wave if you ever see me and I'll wave back!! I may also end up on other NA Data Centers on occasion, but right now I'm mostly logging on to raid since it's a bit of a slow period.
