Met with some friends in my old Savage / TEA static to farm maps tonight. You can make some good money by getting deep into the treasure dungeons but we had extremely cursed luck LOL. Like half of our maps even had a portal in the first place, and then a lot of our runs got cut short by bad luck on the door guesses. Last time we did this, we made it to the 5th and last floor on the first attempt but this time we didn't see past the 3rd floor once in like 15 attempts. But really, the casino isn't about winning money, right? (It also helps that maps are very cheap right now since it's late in the patch cycle, so the scraps we got from every failed run still added up to something with the seven of us each pitching in)
Since it wasn't hard content, I decided to relax from playing Sage and flex the Astrologian TEA weapon instead. Sage was added in the expac after The Epic of Alexander came out, so there's no SGE weapon with flashy particle effects yet 😭 Thankfully, Ultimate Deneb is like, really good. It's probably my favorite from the TEA set.
[I've used that hat (Forgiven's Hat of Healing) for a long time on AST. Something about it just screams fortune teller and I've never wanted to drop it as part of her AST identity. When I alternated between WHM or AST, my approach was to hide headwear visibility on White Mage and show the headpiece on Astrologian. Now I have 3 healers to choose from, and my Sage is rocking the golden horn (previously shown here)... so my AST gear set uses a slightly-lower-level headpiece that I can glam without worrying about having to reapply the look every time I switch between jobs. All that work for best-in-slot just to blow it off. Fashion is the real endgame.
