When I got my ears pierced on Sunday I didn't bother making an appointment or anything and kinda just winged it. Pretty cool that it worked out! @gutterdaughter came with me for moral support, and when we first arrived at the piercing shop the door was locked with a "Back in 10" sign, so we ended up at &Gallery next door.
I'd never gone in before but I'd seen when they held Art-type events and stuff, so I sort of assumed it was going to be much more observing. Turns out you do need to sell stuff to hold retail space downtown, and honestly what a shop!! I believe it's all local artists, and Erin and I both recognized people we already knew but also came away with a buncha new discoveries. Definitely spent more than 10 minutes in there, but it was okay because the shop didn't open for a while. Again, I am very relieved it worked out. Don't ask me to make plans.
Anyways, I wanna link to these peeps in the shop because they have an online shop so why not. I'm sure you could also find links to the artists online individually and I would but I'm on lunch c'mon now

I've been thinking about redoing the stickers on my arcade stick (TODO: picture someday) and my stick in general. I never had artwork for my stick, just put stickers on the plexiglass... and now years later those stickers are fuuuuucked up because I probably should have done them under the plexiglass. Whoops. But also the plastic's getting old and the circuit board is for the Xbox 360 and ... it's a whole thing. Maybe a refresh of the style and guts is in order this year, even if I still don't go to any events ahah. I think these are a great size for that, so we'll see 🙂

Moootherfuckerrrr Erin got my ass with this one. I really thought I was going to escape with just a couple small sticker purchases and then I hear "DAISY!!!" from across the space and I look up and she's holding it and looking at me like it's exactly what I was looking for it all along. And dammit, she was right. So that's something to put on the wall soon.
