Video games, dogs, climate advocacy

I post about arcade games and other video games, punctuated by dog pictures and climate advocacy. My big old arcade 1-credit clear spreadsheet lives at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VpeBQXbbjXHo5XeXRZ1wA2skRDzjuZhc-MbEpelu0yQ/edit?usp=sharing

VRROOOOM VROOOOOOMMMMM! A 1-credit clear of the arcade game World Rally. This is (I think) the first game to use this control scheme of responding to cues about upcoming turns - it had a direct sequel and inspired other games like Neo Drift Out, Backfire!, and the ridiculously-named game Blomby Car. The controls are mostly very forgiving - it's almost impossible to over-steer on ordinary turns. The main challenge comes from complex turns that require slowing down enough to maintain control - without going so slowly that you take over 60 seconds for a race.
