If Pikmin 1 were a chill low stakes collectathon like this, I probably would have liked it a lot more as a portly ‘cube owning preteen. Instead I found it a massive disappointment at the time, though the series overall has grown on me quite a bit over these last 20+ years.

If anything my issue with ‘min4 is that it can be TOO cozy. Everything is really simple and easy and chill, to the point of occasional boredom. Still, it is proving to be a cathartic and relaxing sitdown in short bursts. A wonderful game to sit fatly in front of the air conditioner with during the summer months.

Love to hear it! I just finished another play through of Pikmin 1, and I still love it dearly. Got every part in 20 days (could've been 19, but I forgot how the final boss works). Looking forward to delving into Pikmin 4 someday, but I think for now I'll work my way through the other games as it's been a while.

Very much looking forward to the Pikmin 1+2 physical cart in September. I may also give 3 Deluxe a replay. I really wish they pulled a Pikmin 3 Subsistence and added 4's third person camera into that one!
