ok, ya got me. I had 35 bucks in trade credit from when I dumped off some game room clutter ahead of a move. Feels good to cash out on a dub. Maybe I'll jump into Engage after wrapping up pikmin. O boy I sure hope the annoying anime story isn't in the way of all that good tactics meat!

Yeah same. Since Engage has none of that social sim stuff, I’m thinking it can only be better and more streamlined. I did enjoy the school aspect of Three Houses though. It was cool being able to run around the little hub in between battles.
Usualy I can toss story aside but the story and characters look insufferable to me and I even played most of one route in Three Houses and enjoyed it.
According to a developer interview, Engage was developed around the same time as Three Houses and was designed on purpose to be very different. It was meant to release in 2020 as an anniversary game but then covid happened so they held onto it for the right opportunity. My main question after learning this info was why it looks so much better. Did they spend those extra years just polishing up the graphics?
That’s very cool to know. They must have put a little extra spit shine on it. I wonder what other finished games Nintendo is sitting on. It’s always awesome when they announce something and the release date is right around the corner.
