Oh I get it, you’re only allowed to pin 2 groups to the home page now. The other 90% of space is reserved to forcibly subject lowest common denominator crap in front of my face at all times. This is a the worst NEW* Xbox dashboard yet and that’s saying something.

After your "pins", the content below the initial home screen is functionally a "feed" now. It's the same thing you get on PS5 when you boot up to the "Explore" page, hit the PS Button, or hover over the Store and Plus icons on the left of the home screen "scroll", and essentially what Steam has always done if you set the app to start on the Store page. Microsoft has been trying to replicate that for ages they've just never committed to it -- now they have.
Definitely recommend using the guide button menu more for folders and similar functions. It's been really snappy for a while now, especially with the new machines w/ SSDs. You'll get used to it before you know it (I get it, change sucks 😅)
Just get all the shit it advertises to you and it will have nothing left to advertise to you!
Thinking back on it, I don't know why I ever put up with ads on the Xbox 360 home screen. They weren't even video game related a lot of the time.
I’m on kind of a 7th gen kick lately, so I’ve been booting up the 360 to play games that aren’t backwards compatible or available on PC. You’d be…unsurprised…at how cluttered and SLOW the 360 dashboard is in 2023. I don’t remember it ever being that bad, feels like forced obsolescence. Xbox One had the same problem after a few too many new* dashboard updates rolled in.
Yeah but have you played the new season of Fortnite or Call of Duty fam? It pretty bussing and poggers and legit, much better then all the other boring shit in your xbox library of games.
Now they're asking you to watch the Super Mario movie, next they stop making consoles and it is all about "Kirby & Master Chief at the Paralympic Games"
I hated it the day it launched, now I'm used to it.
I used to have two game groups of pins so I could have the largest icons but now just a games group and entertainment group.
My thing was making groups for 360, Xbox, XBLA, my game pass downloads, apps, and pins for my most played/currently playing. And constantly rearranging them on the home screen like a little freak
