It's on my shortlist of games to get once I get some disposable income.

Tbh, I've only ever watched Markiplier and his friends play the original. However, this one looks like such a huge leap forward from what was already a solid-looking game that it's gotten me curious.

You should consider playing the original since it regularly drops as low as 5 bucks on sale. In some small ways I prefer it, especially the dungeon design. It's all interconnected under the map, where Sons has a much larger map which calls for more spaced out dungeons. That said Sons has a lot of expanded mechanics as well, so they are both worth playing.

And the good thing is, they each function perfectly as singleplayer experiences in addition to the multiplayer fun. That's what I love about them, it's not strictly a co-op base building affair.

You’re so VRpilled now slimey. I bet Pacific Drive would be sick in VR if implemented well. I’m enjoying it in Regular Reality but Sons has been eating up all of my attention. I’d say Zoey’s review is not off the mark, it’s pretty cool but not essential.

Pretty sure Pacific Drive is made in Unreal Engine so the UEVR injector mod should work for it!Might not be perfect but could still be fun.

Paicific Drive just looks like a fun enough relatively unique take on a game which I feel over time I value more as game genres even indies start to feel overcrowded and homoegnised.

I like 2D metroidvanias but I gave Vernal Edge and Rusted Moss a try before say a Prince of Persia Lost Crown because a focus on grapple hook movement for rusted moss and dmc like combat and air juggling for Vernal Edge felt pretry unique for a metroidvania game to have.

Does make me worry that Silksong when it evenutaly comes out will kinda feel played out sincd it won't have a lot of unqiue or even a central unique gameplay mechanic for the metroidvania genre.

Got to say this year and next for indie driving games has some really cool looking unique games!
