Trying to figure out how to play MGS Portable Ops Plus on ppsspp with 60fps haxx and giving up. Not how I wanna spend my Sunday. Game preservation sucks when u ain't got a bitch in your ear telling you how to configure everything.

Bloated and bleeding
The system works

I remember getting the Retroid 2 cause everyone said it played PSP and PS1 but I couldn't get anything to run without significant tradeoffs. Just played SNES and GBA games with it instead.
yeah I can play psp games easily on steam deck, but certain games are locked 20fps like Portable Ops Plus and Peace Walker. I guess part of preservation is experiencing games as they were designed, in this case running like shit.
I can not imagine truer pain. We are at the mercy of Konami on a re-release and that really blows. I cannot see them reviving PO itself much less PO+, which is the only one I'm interested in.
It was hard finding a "bios" that worked with the PCSX2. Went through a few files until I downloaded a Japan PS2 bios and suddenly everything went okay.
In that the emulator would now start.
Then I realized some games like Ratchet & Clank or Silent Hill: Origins were basically unplayable.
It's crazy that companies haven't been taking advantage of this whilst it can still be difficult to emulate anything from the 3D generation onwards. The only company that's come close is Microsoft.
Microsoft has done great work with the back compat program and I wish those efforts could be broadened in some way. Being able to play physical 360 games on the Series X alone is a godsend. That's the reason I'm not struggling to play Peace Walker.
