Welp, so long Roll7. Another studio shuttered as the game industry continues to devour itself. I was an enormous fan of OlliOlli World and Rollerdrome, so this one feels personal. Never did feel comfortable with the fact that Take-Two acquired them, and here’s the inevitable result.

Ah was going to share the news to you but seems I am too late. This is the first I am hearing they owned Rollerdome, feel awful for thr Kerbal Space 2 devs having your publisher abaonde you while your mid early access and so far away from 1.0 and launched in early access in a really rough state. If they understandably stopped development then they have the issue that a bunch of people will not trust them if they ever make a new game years down the line.
Games and peoples lifehood jobs and 4 or 5 years of their life for their dream projects really are truly nothing to companies like this.
Damn the OlliOlli games were pretty damn great.
Never got why big companies will buy small ones and then close them when they don't make a billion dollars because they're a small company.
Oh that's a damn shame.
OlliOlli World is super cool. But I had to stop playing after awhile. Turns out I hold my breath during runs of that game. I couldn't stop! Was getting light headed.
Something about roll7 games just click for me, I am always flowin on the same wavelength. My leaderboard scores are insane for both OlliOlli World and Rollerdrome, I even topped #1 on a level in the latter. Eventually got overtaken and last I checked sitting in the top 20.
Of course I had to go check now. My best level on PC is down to 21. NOT BAAD
I am content with just being really damn good at it. If anything, tempted to go make my mark on the Xbox leaderboards. It is in game pass.
