Part 1a (since this is only half of part 1). Having art-block atm and had to stop working on it for now! But the plan is for this to be Kes's FULL story, eventually including his in-game tadpole adventures!
So, we finally get to meet Barrin (I think I mentioned him here once or twice)! And as a note: Kestrel is trans and we are seeing his deadname in use here! He's only 8 years old here and hasn't come out yet (does so at 13 - we'll get there in part 2)!
