found a cursed artifact

another old pc showed up, this time from 1996 but with a few hardware upgrades
im gonna blend so hard on it

the poor Cirrus Logic CL-GD5446 graphics card from 1996 is really struggling though, only managing 16 bit color at the native 1024x768 resolution of the monitor

a cool thing is that in blender 2.40 you can see the individual triangles of the UI join arrow as they are rasterized (transparency is expensive!)

a pc from 2002 appeared in the basement so i felt like running some old blender on period correct hardware

this is eggbug rendered with radiosity in blender 2.28 (2003), as that is the earliest version where radiosity is an option for renders, as opposed to a process you do in advance and bake into vertex colors

radiosity is cool because it is global illumination
