Lyman Run State Park is one of Pennsylvania's hidden gems. It's right down the road from Cherry Springs State Park which is a designated dark sky park. It's a great place for stargazing, camping and hiking.
The Harris shutter effect is a photography technique that I used to mess around with a lot while I was in college. Traditionally it is achieved by doing multiple exposures on film with a red, blue and green filter. It is easy enough to achieve digitally. This is definitely one of my better executions of it.
I’ve been sorting through my closet of camera gear now that I’m settled into my new place and I came across some of my vintage lenses. I popped this unknown brand 55mm f/2.8 M42 mount lens on my camera and took it with me on my evening walk. I think I’ll dip into that lens stash more often to experiment with them instead of forgetting about them in a closet. I’ve bought so many lenses over the years at yard sales and thrift shops but I always end up putting them away in favor of my core set of lenses.
