Tenebrae Makes a Grand Entrance

Sara Hymnia reports from the IL weigh-in.

Phoebe Tenryuu arrived in spectacular style at the Imperial League weigh-in just after lunchtime today, riding Soot and flying directly in to land on the grass at the New Stadium by the Palace Mount. Her arrival stole the show and has quickly become the topic of conversation around the paddock.

Tenryuu's last-minute, shoestring-budget entry into the IL with her team Tenebrae has been a hanging question since it was first announced earlier this year. With two earlier, better-funded privateer teams having failed to actually bring dragons to the grid, there was widespread doubt that we'd see Tenryuu at all. When no team personnel showed up at the weigh-in even this morning, that seemed to be the end of her bid, but her arrival certainly shows she hasn't given up yet.
