Tenebrae Stuns in Qualifying

Whatever we were expecting from Phoebe Tenryuu and Tenebrae, it certainly wasn't this. The rookie and her small lunar drake, Soot, were written off throughout the pre-season, with many doubting that she would even make it as far as participating in a race weekend. Not only has she done so, she's far exceeded even the most optimistic predictions for her form by qualifying in fifth place for Sunday's race.
Tenryuu recorded the time on her final run this afternoon, having already shown a surprising turn of speed in the practice sessions over the last two days. Practice times often don't translate to qualifying, especially for new teams and rookie riders, and it was clear that Tenebrae were still doing some pretty basic training exercises and course-learning, so the assumption was that Tenryuu's pace would suffer when it came to the extremely focussed top-speed flight of qualifying.
The dragons are finally doing the fast thing!
