more profile pictures for another friend! i'm honestly quite liking the way i've made glassy/translucent/reflective surfaces, especially when i get to make adorable creatures out of them <3

If i recall, a lot of cartoons will go all out and just make the whole outline white, or a lighter shade of the base color. The cel-shaded outlines here are more nuanced, maybe the black parts could be just a darker shade to show that those edges would still be letting some light through
ooh, that could look even better... gonna have to remember to try this one out next time i'm drawing something translucent. maybe in less-direct lighting it could even be some kind of gradient.
