I made this character in iirc early 2020 in response to an art prompt to design a magical girl with "an improbable weapon." I think I succeeded on the weapon front but 2020 me (dibujo 3) was really clueless about designing magical girls so I had another go right at the end of last year (dibujo 1) and think I did a lot better, though I later felt losing the bangs was a mistake, consequently dibujo 2. Her name is Eleonore Mordis Linden, a sequence of sort of multi-step associations with the names of Maurits Cornelius Escher.
I'm still somewhat unsatisfied with the circular Penrose steps since they're not really operating on Penrose step logic. I had a more mathematical solution in mind at some point and was in the middle of animating it in Illustrator (a 2007 copy of CS3 (not amazing as animation software)) when my laptop decided to stop working and take my copy with it. Killed the motivation a bit.
