friendly reminder that it's often not enough to be taking backups, you have to actually test and make sure they're working.
i just had a close call myself, had data loss and the backup i thought i was taking turned out to be broken, thankfully was able to recover through a different way.
it was adobe lightroom, it corrupted my catalogue file somehow
