New: Pokemon Scarlet. I really like it :eggbug:

Replaying: Kingsway, Inscryption, Going Under

Inscryption is a card game that hits my nostalgia so hard, being heavily inspired by prerendered 3D adventure games, Pokemon TCG on GameBoy Color, and other things too (i'm not a huge fan of the third chapter). I returned to it because quite a few mods were created since its release and wanted to see what modders came up with. Coming very soon ™ to Nintendo Switch.

Kingsway looks like old operating system GUI and uses that as mechanics for traditional RPG. Inventory management are done by drag&dropping icons, events and dialogue is handled like old websites, quests arrive via email-like client window, and you avoid traps and attacks by closing their popup windows. It's similar to FTL in its pixel-art presentation, and "unstoppable force slowly covering the map" overworld mechanics. It's not expensive, and definitely worth a try.

Going Under is not my kind of game mechanics-wise (hit monsters, dodge attacks, try not to die - i'm not much of an action/brawler type of player). It's stylised after colorful corporate art style and centers around dungeon crawling in cursed failed startups' offices. Writing and visuals are on point and made me go through the whole game despite it not being my genre. Currently heavily discounted on Steam

Seems that i mostly go back to games that do something unique on visual and theming side, i guess. That's probably my kind of escapism.

Also i want to find some free time to replay Little Inferno with recently added DLC. I need to check out what did they add.

For me, it's Tactics Ogre: Reborn and Pokemon Scarlet. Pokemon when I'm playing multiplayer with my partner and Tactics when I'm playing on my own.

Really enjoying both of these, however tactics ogre is generally the type of game I'm more interested in. Pokemon's new multiplayer has given it a new lease on life for me.

Right now I've been playing a lot of Grounded - it has an interesting concept where there's base-building a la Valheim and the like, but it's an artist-made bespoke map instead of random terrain, so there's more steady progression and visual/exploration interest throughout

It's cool as long as you don't feel too bad about murdering adorable bugs (but also a lot of awful ones)
