  1. Rivalry implies commensurate, or at least mutually-neutralizing, threat potential. As such, tagslug should overall be recognizably a Little Guy.
  2. Eggbug is a friend to all, which suggests that tagslug should bring, at the very least, a certain threatening energy.
  3. Since n > 1 in an eggbug superellipse, it follows that tagslug should, where possible, employ values of n < 1. Tagslug should fall as far on the kiki end of the kiki-bouba spectrum as possible without sacrificing an essentially sluggy character or compromising point 1.
  4. Chromatic inversion points to #7BDAB0 and #FFF9F2 as natural options. This feels to me like it lies comfortably in a Threatening Little Guy range.
  5. Comic Sans is the stuff of another era. I aspire to live in the era of Comic Mono instead.

EDIT: It has been brought to my attention that a grievous oversight occurred when performing chromatic inversion. The notes and reference image have been corrected, and those responsible for the error have been sacked.

@aidan

just one note, for use in any further analysis: eggbug's black parts are actually not-black (#191919) so the appropriate inversion would be not-white (#FFF9F2). i do fully support your use of Threatening Little Guy Mint, though. the kiki-bouba dichotomy is absolutely spot on as well
