a fun benefit of the CSS Sandbox is that you can make silly posts that look like site UI, but this isn't ideal for something like asks, where making it look like someone said something they didn't could be an issue. we've got a little icon on All Genuine Asks to indicate that they're real!

i am all for people doing Jokes using fake asks, but the risk of abuse was too high for us to make the distinction invisible. so here we are! hopefully it's nonintrusive enough to not be annoying.

Yeah of course! That's more or less what I meant, there are a lot of avenues for abuse when you can fake somebody else saying something to you. This maintains the important feature of CSS nonsense while still maintaining the integrity of asks! Like I don't think it takes away from the joke asks at all.
