true. to be clear i mean discussion for like, peopleโ€™s picks, not the accuracy of the idol picks, which are spot-on. Frye says โ€œyou canโ€™t Frye things without fireโ€ or something. itโ€™s good.

i still donโ€™t know. Torchic is my favorite ever. Water type is cuter. I love water. But I think grass fits my personality best. And Shiver picked grass. aghggggghghhhghg.

It's tough because, is it like those types in general? Or is it supposed to be the new starters? If it's just those types in general, I'll have to go with water. But if it's the new starters, I'll have to choose grass because that cat is too cute!

The official wording is "partner pokemon type" I think, which I'm interpreting as "mainly your favorite starter type overall, which are your canonical game partners in each game"

As a kid I always picked water type, then started preferring grass; I think the one I've actually played the most of lately is fire though (delphox/cinderace/hisuian typhlosian cute)...

if i went through all the evos i think fire would go way up in my rankings yeahโ€ฆ torchic/combusken/blaziken left a massive crater (positive) in my heart as a kid regardless hehe

the problem is, Shiver would have to be worth 15 more points than big man to get me onto grass team. or, in other words, big man would have to be worth 15 fewer points than shiver. now, i like shiver a lot. i think big man is fine. but is the different between them really FIFTEEN POINTS' worth to me?

plus, i tried a modification to the sheet where the top-rated from each generation got a bonus point, and it just made water get even higher than grass

one time my brother taught me a trick for overcoming indecision: you flip a coin, and then if you disagree with the result at all or otherwise feel an urge to qualify it somehow, you immediately reject the coin flip and do the opposite, because you wouldn't feel the need to question the result if you agreed with it in your heart
