One time at Anime Expo in Los Angeles (this preamble is how you know a good story is about to happen), while waiting in line for registration a fellow con-goer asked my friend and I what restaurants we were excited to try nearby. After listening to our responses he smugly and genuinely remarked that we were leaving out the finest California cuisine: Outback Steakhouse.
